In short

An intake agent reads every freight request, prices it against live lanes and drafts the quote for a human to approve.

The problem

Halden’s sales desk answered every quote by hand. Requests arrived by email in a dozen formats, and each one meant opening three spreadsheets and a rate portal before anyone could reply. Good leads went cold while the team copied numbers between tabs.

What we built

We shipped an intake agent that reads each request, extracts origin, destination, weight and dates, and prices the lane against Halden’s live rate sheet. It drafts the quote in the rep’s voice and parks it for one-click approval in HubSpot.

Where humans stay in the loop

Anything over a set value, or any lane the agent has not seen before, is flagged for review with its reasoning attached. Reps approve in seconds instead of building from scratch.

The result

Median time to quote dropped from about six hours to six minutes. The desk now handles three times the request volume with the same headcount.

“Our reps stopped building quotes and started closing them. The agent does the boring 90 percent before anyone opens the thread.”
